I have a 1988 Johnson 15 hp.

I have a 1988 Johnson 15 hp. When warmed up and idling along in gear it runs fine but when you try to eccelorate it dies unless you pull the choke out real quick. you don't have to keep the choke out just quickly pull it out and then right back in. High speed also seems fine

"Your engine is probably running a bit too lean. First give it a treatment of engine tuner, then readjust the acrburator. Even check that the engine reaches normal operating temp. If running too cold that may gause symptoms as mentioned."
