5 hp gamefisher, sorry not sure the year

I just picked up this 5 hp gamefisher in trade, and as I dug into it right away I noticed no spark at the plug, took plug off wire. Checked wire, still no spark. Not sure what is my next step to I remove the flywheel and and follow the wire?? Thanks in advance
