5.0GXI surges

When I initially start the engine, the engine surges in cycles for about a minute then stabilizes in idle. Any idea why?

Could be anything really

Faulty points (if equipted)
Spark plugs,
wires
cold blooded engine
carb out of adjustment
faulty choke

VP 5.0GXI is fuel injected and has no choke...Check you cap/wires, gas filter for water

I just noticed my engine doing the same thing last weekend, I haven't had time to take a look at it but was wondering if you found what your issue was due to?
