5.0 MPI - Somtimes won't start

We have a 2006 Monterey 214FS with the Merc 5.0 MPI motor. Lately when we turn the key to start the engine sometimes it will do nothing, almost as if the battery is dead (the battery is fine). After a few turns of the key the engine will finally start with no problems. I had a similar problem with a previous boat that had a Volvo 3.o motor. After much headached I finally figured out the start relay was the issue. After some research for my current Merc 5.0 MPI, I cannot find where the starter relay is or if I even have one. Does anyone have any ideas about this problem?

As dsms says; it is likely your slave solenoid.
When you turn the key, do you here a click from the engine?
If so, this would be your slave solenoid. If not, its likely shot.
Your key switch could also be bad.
Try jumpering from the B to the S terminal behind the key switch.
If this turns it over, the switch is shot.
