Im new to this post Im hoping you guys and gals can help.
I just put a chev 305 in my 86 19' bayliner it had a volvo 131A 275 drive I know the gear ratio is wrong but what gear ratio should it be Im told 1.95:1 ratio is this correct also what gear ratio is it now. I bought a steeper pitch prop for now but have not tried it yet. Im also wondering where can I get the correct gear set used, the dealer wants way to much $$$$$ still trying to get over how much $$$$$ to put the V8 in.
