Hey there, So Ive bought/orderd/paid for another alternator as the last one " Never showed up". Ive bought the One wire delco for the 485 mercruiser. My Question Is.... Its a 100amp Alternator, will I need a circut breaker or fuse? And seeing as I have a duel battery set up Should I run the "One wire" to the pos terminal on the main battery? Or should I run It too the battery switch?

Is there anything else I should do??

( Im Manufacturing my own brackets at a mates workshop, It cant be that hard surely!)

Disconnect the battery. Due to the new 100 amp alt. replace the old orange wire from the starter to the old volt. regulator w/a new orange 6 gauge wire and connect it to the stud used by the new "one wire" on the new alternator and the starter where the old orange wire was connected. Connect the new alternator "one wire" to the red/purple wire from the old volt. regulator. Cut off the wires at the stator and regulator and trash them.
