Hi,
I'm dealing with my first inboard motor. It's an old 470 Mercruiser. I believe the water cooled voltage regulator went bad and was wondering if i would be able to use a standard chevy voltage regulator. obviously i'm trying to avoid the cost of a new regulator or the alternator kit right now. only a few weeks left in the summer and would like to be able to get by but don't wanna do anything stupid...which this idea may be lol.
thx in advance
