"my 470 will not turn over wit

"my 470 will not turn over with the key ,but if you jump the starter with a screwdriver it will turn but ingage, the 50 amp breaker i was pulling on the red butten and it came off ,so if you put a screwdriver in the hole you get sparks ,so where is my problem?theres power there ,because the tilt works ,but no ,horm,wipers blower , any help ,thanks johnny"

"Well if the buttons gone ,just short the 2 lugs on the back for testing.If somehow you managed to ground the breaker internally you may have blown a 90A fuse block thats mounted on the battery lug at the starter.a squarish plastic block, Using a meter or test light, check for power at the 2 lugs on the breaker first.Then check for the fuse block at the starter.

Power in the trim circuit is separate from the rest of the boat except it uses the start battery.

"The horn, etc. runs off of an in-line 25 amp fuse from the ign. key. Its source is the engine breaker that you broke. When it trips it pops out. You reset it by pushing it inward."
