I have a remanufactured 440 wi

I have a remanufactured 440 with all new internal parts ans access. It is in a 19ft Arabian v-drive. At about 3400 RPM I get a miss.I have new elect. ign. and an edlebrook carb. Fuel pressure is OK. A yard took it for a ride and said it was a weak valve spring but it has new springs. Any hints?

Does it misfire only at high rpms while running in gear but fine otherwise?
 
"Look for bad ignitin wires an

"Look for bad ignitin wires and/ or plugs. Take it out for a hard run, then cut the motor off clean and pull the plugs. Any you see darker than the rest are trouble.

Also, even good wires may may need separating. I had to put # 6 and # 8 cylinder wires on mine in "snake skin" (plastic split sheaves used with cars) to get rid of a missing problem undr load.

"Eddie, I have only experienced the issue under load. I realy haven't got to 3800 RPm in neutral. I am probaly doing 45 mph when it starts to miss.

I will try new wire because I have a set. When I pulled the plugs, I did not see much difference. I did not have many hours on them though. I am, also thinking of an electric fuel pump ."
