I have a 72' Century Arabi

I have a 72' Century Arabian that I just changed the coil on because of the problem I am about to explain. Today I ran it for a 1/2 hr and while running @ 2200 rpm it died and started "sputtering" then would start in neutral and do the same and shut off. After 10 min. I started it and it was fine----idled back to the dock and it didn't do it again----since I changed the coil is my next step the condenser?????????

what about spark plugs and plu

what about spark plugs and plug wires? Plugs are about $1 each and easy to replace. make sure the plug wires are seated fully on the plugs and not cracking or damaged.

Those were all changed @ the b

Those were all changed @ the beginning of the season---has anyone ever had the points get pitted or messed up from over charging---my volt gauge is reading 15.5 @ 3000rpm

"Still have points? Can u have

"Still have points? Can u have dwell angle checked along with timing? I am only experienced in this type of issue with old sports cars. The distributor can wear and begin to wobble which effects the dwell angle. The advance springs may also not be moving freely which effects the timing advance. It can also be points/rotor/condenser/wires or even fuel related. When u r sure its electrical check the fuel delivery, when u r sure its the fuel delivery then check the electrical :>)

I had the same thing happen on

I had the same thing happen on one of my Chrysler 440's. The ECU was bad. It is a square shaped box bolted on to the bracket where the selenoid is. Mine had a 5 pin plug held in place with a screw in the middle. Also check to see if your ballast resistor is O.K.. Mine was burned a tan color (should be white).
