"Hi,
Changed the main wiring

"Hi,
Changed the main wiring harness on my 1993 Sea Ray 4.3L V6 Mercruiser and have power to the circuit breaker, but nothing coming out of it. I think I have everything wired correctly?? Disconnected the red/purple wire from the breaker, pushed the reset button, have power to the empty terminal. Tried again to reconnect and test, seems to be grounding out somewhere? Any suggestions? Also, no power to the electrical panal at front of boat?? Disconnected the main harness plug (the round one) on engine still pops the breaker??"

"Sounds like a fundamental short in the engine wiring harness. Time to recheck every wire.
There is only two ways to do wiring: The right way, and every other way is wrong.
Is it the engine harness that you changed? Why? Fire?
Do you have the right wiring diagram?

losing oil must add after taking boat out for 2 hours is this right. Oil is gathering in bilge

Also not considered 'right' is hijacking someone else's thread, especially when the topic has nothing to do with your problem.
Recommend starting a new thread, including the year, engine model, and type of drive your rig has, and a little more specifics about what you've looked at besides the oil in the bilge."
