43 mercruiser trophy drain engine oil

I have a 2005 engine 4.3ltr an

I have a 2005 engine 4.3ltr and have problem draining engine oil through hose out of the garboard drain plug. It appears that there is a restriction some 20inches up the tube.
not able to see from top of engine what the problem is. either hose is kinked or something is wedged against drain hose. Any ideas please.

The engine oil needs to be hot

The engine oil needs to be hot to drain; add an engine cleaner to the oil and idle for 5 mins. to thin out the oil. Try to get your arm underneath and feel the drain hose for damage. Tie a stout string to it if necessary and pull it back into the boat to inspect it. A LITTLE compressed air may dislodge any debris.
