40hp mercury 402 year?

hey guys got a mercury 402 but no idea what year it is, i am in australia and the serial number is 8046329 any help would be much appriciated

That's an Aussie serial number. My charts for Merc Australia are a little shoddy but I put it about a 76 or 77 model.
