40hp ignition wiring

Can anyone tell me what the two black wires going under the flywheel are for and where they go exactly? Fuel pump and key Ignition switch? from each point where the condenser hooks on? I need to do some wire and ignition testing because I'm still only running on 1 cylinder. Going to take the flywheel off again this week.

It's a 40HP 1963

Here are the pictures of wiring. (third pic is where they come out from underneath), one goes under and across to the other side (black connection) and the other goes through the transom somewhere.
Any wire testing techniques, tips to find this problem? Im using a multimeter
