I have a 40 hp evinrude model

I have a 40 hp evinrude model TE40ELCEC

I am having it bored .030 over. I need to know the piston to cylinder wall clearance.

Can anyone help me ?

You dont bore an outboard to t

You dont bore an outboard to that specification.

Use the std bore size and add 030 thou to it to get the correct factory bore size

"That's what I had planned to do, but when I calculated everything out I came up with only .003 clearance and I thought that was a little tight, so I wanted to check before I did anything.
