40 hp to 15 hp swap

I have a 1993 15 hp Johnson installed on my boat currently. But I would like to install a 1994 40 HP Johnson and be able to swap them back and forth easily and quickly for the local limited HP lake. The 15 has an electric choke but the 4 does not, (that I am aware of. )
Can this be done without too much hassle and time to accommodate my fishing needs? I am worried the not be compatible with the same controller assembly.

The 40 hp most certainly has an electric primer on it !

Thanks, what about the electronics that plug in on the left side? Would they both be the same? I guess what I'm trying to say is , can this be a "plug and play" scenario? Or will there be a lot more to hook up between the two sets of controls?
I appreciate your help.

I believe so yes, except the 40 is beefier. I do not have the unit here to measure against the 15. Why do you ask this? hmmmm?

Most 40 hp motors are long shaft.-----------If both motors are electric start you or a shop can set it up so that it is plug and play from one motor to the other.

That's good info and comforting. I plan on having the boat and both units to a shop in a couple weeks. We are still iced over in Pa.
