40 hp mariner carb jets

"Hi, on my Mariner 40 hp 1991,

"Hi, on my Mariner 40 hp 1991, it has 2 keikhen carbs, and in the manual it says it has "low speed jet orifice" could you tell me if these are for air or fuel, thanks again for your help."

"the low speed jet is for setting the air/fuel mixture at idle. It is adjustable (slotted screw), usually turning the screw counterclockwise richens the mixture by allowing more fuel threw an orifice"

"Hi, yes I know the idle adjustment screw on the outside of the carb, but I'm referring to the inside of the float bowl next to the main jet, and i need to know if that low spped jet orifice is for air or fuel, i need to change that to run more rich , for boyesen reeds, or can i just turn the ilde air/fuel out and not change the internal jet, thanks again Johnny"
 
"The idle air/fuel mixture can

"The idle air/fuel mixture can be changed by adjusting the mixture screw. This adjustment will only affect the mixture up to maybe 1000rpms, any mixture adjustment after a 1000rpms must be done with the main jet. Unless stated by Boyesen, I wouldn't mess with the mixture."
