"inst a new one,...but,inst a comp new water pump kit,..hsng etc...what yr is it?...also,..this can be a sign,of exhaust pressure getting in cooling passage...make sure u have the grommet where the wtr tube slides into on top of hsng, and it is not folding over....make sure,ur water level is good and high....if not, when u first start, the wtr in barrle is calm,..as u run and exhaust bubbles the too shallow barrell, the turbulence, blows away the wtr from intake.."

"no,..thats plenty deep....that 64 did have a thermo area in the head?..if so,pull it,ck in there for dibris....have u done a compression ck..u may be getting compression in cooling area...run ok?...try lving thermo cap off for a min or so and see if wtr still stops flowing.if a thermo IS in there, remove it,for testing purposes."
