"i have i believe to be a 40 hp 1963 sea king mtr,mod #cg18805a and ser# 36x870617,can anyone tell me the make of the mtr and the gas to oil ratio,a sticker on the mtr says 24 to 1 of #30 oil to 6gal of gas, would this hold true for the new tcw3 syn 2 cycle oil as well, thanks for any help"

And yes, you can run unleaded gas (86 or 87 octane) mixed at 24:1 with TCW-3 rated oil with good results. However, you may want to replace all the gas lines under the "hood", if original they were never designed to handle the ethanol in modern fuel - it tends to eat the older rubber..."
