I bought a AQ 145 I believe. 4 Cylinder
It came with a outdrive. I just wanted engine.
This was setup on a big houseboat.
The outdrive looks bigger than my 270
I think all parts are there except bellhousing which broke taking engine out.
Can anyone guess what the value is?
I have spent way too much on this project and need to sell the extra parts on Ebay

"Cameron,

Depends on a lot

"Cameron,

Depends on a lot of things. Is the outdrive in good working condition and can you verify it to a buyer? Has it been in fresh water mostly? Does it have relatively low hours? Can you take some really good photos of it? If yes to most of those you might get a good price for it.
Best guess on prices would be anywhere from a few hundred dollars on up to maybe $600 or $700 this time of year. If you sell it on ebay there's the issue of shipping it. You've got to crate it up and deal with the shipper. That's a hassle and will easily add $200+ for the buyer and a lot of your time and energy to get it ready to ship. Anytime you deal with someone long-distance problems can get amplified.
IF you can sell it as "Local Pickup Only" it would be easier. You might also consider an ad on Craigslist.
If you tell folks (here) what your location is you might get some potential buyers. Also, is it a 280 or a 270?

A final thought. I might be concerned about the "broken bellhousing". If they were that abusive in jerking the thing out of the boat they might have damaged something else that's not so noticeable?

Hope this helps a little."

"Thanks for the info. I am not

"Thanks for the info. I am not sure what model it is as I just put it in my shed since I didn't need it. It should have about 300 hours. The engine that came with it runs like new and I believe the outdrive to be in excellent condition.
If I sell on Ebay I might wait till spring time.
I am located in Orlando, FL. Can go boating all 12 months of the year."
