Hi everyone! New here, my name is Zack. I just bought a 1978 sea nymph with a 4 cylinder in it. I am looking to see if anyone can help me with identification of what kind of motor it is so I can look for parts if needed. Hope the pics work, Thanks!

With the "top plate" on the inlet portion of the manifold, I'd bet it is one generation in front of where Kghost put it....

I went by the intake manifold and what was represented in the parts breakdown.
although that's an old motor so hard to say for sure.

Also the fact his boat is a '78........sometimes motors are ~ 6 months to maybe a year lagging, in other words a early '79 boat may still be using a '78 motor...

I am not sure myself so I will ask.......

Would a 3.0 ltr intake fit on a 2.5.......

The block and heads have different part numbers and the 3.0 parts structures I looked at don't list the intake.

Been a while since I have physically seen both in a short period of time to compare as mostly the 3.0 140 hp are around these days....

Ayuh,.... ALL the parts interchange, except the crankshaft, pistions, 'n block,....

The 3.0l has a harmonic balancer, 'n the 2.5l has Only a pulley,....

There are some differences in the manifolds, both intake, 'n exhaust, but only in port sizes, not bolt patterns,...

Hey guys, another question for this same boat. It has a white tilt hydraulic pump that has a single discharge on it. It says "full tilt" on it. Anyways, it went out. I am having a hard time finding a replacement. Any idea of other pumps I can use? Any other pumps from OMC motors that will work?
