4.3L 3 loose wires ?

>> In doing a little maintenance on my used boat and removing the air breather there are three loose taped wires (black, brown and orange) and I am wondering if anyone as idea what they may have been attached to? They are just black electrical taped then tucked in out of sight and coming from the original main wiring cable harness. Just wondering what was attach to these and hope to identify the component. Thanks and looking forward to what you think?

they are the wires for the electrolsys unit usually at the front of the motor or the stbd rear

Unit is Blue un color alco known as "Mercathode"

Greatly appreciated, I will check if it was just disconnected or removed. Are mercathode electrolsys units generaly same size and shape?

Ayuh,.... Is this a trailer boat, or a dock kept boat,..??

Trailer boats don't need mercathode,.....
