Hello ,i am Tino from Austria, sorry for my englisch i give my best.
I have a wellcraft with 2 mercruiser 4,3 lx.
We make new machines into the boat. All new parts. New delco est.
New carebutor ede 1405 with ede 1409 kit.
But the engines run to 2800 rpm and then is no power.
We have all controlled 8* to ot.
No water inside. New petrol filter.
I think the carebutor is a failure.
But it is on booth engine teh same.
Do you have a idea.

edelbrock 1405 carbs are NOT marine rated, at least in the US. If the carbs you have are the 'newer' chinese copies, I would suspect them as well.

I would check the ignition timing total advance at 2500 RPM; it should be at least 22 degrees BTDC.
