I have a 90 Larson with a 4.3 owned by one guy for 32 years. My first plop in th water I started up, vibration of-idle. Left the marina for two minutes and the vibration was most speeds.
Came home n pulled out drive, feels good, looks good. Motor alignment appears rear low.
Looking thru gimbal at coupler it seems perfect spinning at idle, no wobble or out-of-round like the splines are loose in the rubber.
But still vibrates running @ 1500 rpm plus with outdrive removed.
Tho PO said he had to replace the motor 15 yrs ago but who knows...
Not a rod knock, seems quiet.
Idles very smooth and evenly, I can't believe it would be a fouled plug.
Or do they vibrate a bit?
What's the first thing you'd look at?
