4.3 mercruiser shuts off

Got a 89' 4.3 mercruiser that will run for about a hour then shut off. Will not stay running until you let set for about 45 min. Any ideas?

By running do you mean under power or on the hose?

Ayuh,.... When it dies, 'n won't start,.... Is there Power at the coil's (+)Positive terminal,..??..??

yes under power. i will have to check on power to the coil

Sounds like a bad ignition coil.
