4.3 220hp Merc stalls after restarting

2011 Bayliner will restart okay, but it stalls when I put it in gear and advance the throttle...
This only happens when it's hot, let it cool off and it'll start up and take right off, running smoothly

It's multi port
This is my first boat, and I've never worked on one... and I'm not really planning on it. I'm just trying to gain a little knowledge from those with experience.
It's a really great one owner boat that has been been well maintained. I bought it last year.

I'm just guessing fuel pump, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask those who might be familiar.
