I've just recently got a Hunter 34 1984 Sailboat. I know most of the history of the boat, and think some seawater came in through the exhaust during a hurricane.
I have been trying for over a week to pull the injectors to no avail. I gave up on that after mutilating one pretty bad and decided to pull the head off. Well, can't say I was surprised after the injectors wouldn't budge. The cylinders have some heavy duty rust/corrosion on them. Here are some photos of the worst.
The motor was just rebuilt before the water intrusion, but has sat for ~2-3 years in it's current state.
I'm prepared to pull the entire thing out and take it in for a hone/liners. What should I do? Could it be cleaned out as is?
