Port riser is warm while starboard is hot. Temp gauge is reading 170. Starboard is always warmer but drove for about 30 minutes at about 3800rpm. Riser was too hot to keep hand on. Is this normal? Motor is a 2015 remanufactured complete motor from murcruiser. Complete motor. Has about 150 hrs on it

A mild temperature difference between a Port side Elbow and a Stbd side Elbow is fairly normal.
However, an excessive temperature difference is not acceptable.
You most likely have a restriction somewhere within the seawater path on the Stbd side.

First,
What boat, size, is it an I/O or inboard?
History of recent problems and work?

Serial number of original engine to identify cooling system and associated components?

Aren't you glad someone said normal is normal but hot is hot?
Nice!!

The boat is 22’ searay express cruiser. The motor is I/O only 3 years old. Brand new from mercury. Complete drop in. Outdrive is alpha 1 year old. I don’t have the serial numbers right now, I will get them for you. I’ve had no issues and just regular maintenance.

A one year old Mercruiser drive or a one year old SEI drive?

If it is an SEI drive their water pumps are the absolute worst POS you can use. The cup in the SS water pump housing will rotate and restrict water flow. Sierra pumps will do the same thing. OEM parts on these pumps only
