0908728 is the 'original' part number for the 351 and should fit as well. Don't know the price!

I have an omc cobra 5.8 I/O an

I have an omc cobra 5.8 I/O and the alternator doesnt charge the batteries. I took it in and had it checked and it is good.what could be causing this? the alternator has a built in regulator. it is a 1989.I am at a dead end with this . anyone with any knowledge on this will be a god in my eyes.

"I dont know how an alternator problem relates to a t-stat housing thread, but hey, I know you guy's probably don't post on forums much. It is customary for clarification to start a thread with a discriptive title related to YOU'RE problem, like say, "Alternator problem cobra 5.8 I/O". With that said, I would be checking you're wires next."
