350XL Frozen Spark Plugs

"I have 2 plugs that are froze

"I have 2 plugs that are frozen on the wrong side of the port engine between the engine and the hull, it's a very tight fit, I cant see them but can feel them and I can get a socket in there, any ideas how to break them loose.

"If you can get the motor to run, get it fully hot before trying to get them out--and good luck! Most likely you'll have the pull the head and get them drilled/ tapped out (as I did this Spring). The "mechanics" who did a comp test on the motor years ago neglected to put anti-seize on the threads. Thanks a lot!

Try soaking the area around the plugs with WD-40 over night. Ditto on the advise about using anti-sieze

"Joel, if you can get socket on plug with a breaker bar & it won't come loose it must be severely rusted. That being the case; you'll have to shoot some penetrating oil at base of plug & let set overnite. Squirt again just prior to attempting removal. I would use something like PB Blaster or Kroil. Did the other plugs look rusted at all? If they are you should use marine grade spark plugs which have SS bases. Pricier yes but no rusted plugs."
