"how should I break in a re-built 350? and for how long.Also what RPM to cruise at after break in. last, max running RPM."

it really depends on what cylinder hone was used during the rebuild. Ask the rebuilder.

After break in: WOT rpm should be 4600- choose a prop that puts you there. Cruise where ever it feels comfortable for traffic and water. 3200 to 3600 will probably give the best cruise mpg (planing) in a smaller boat.

Normal Break-in procedures are,......
Varying the rpms,+ Not going to WOT for the 1st 20hrs.....
Then do an Oil change,+ Service,+ Inspection.......

Then, you should be able to pull 4600/4800rpms at WOT..... With your Normal load......
Cruise rpms is different for Every boat,.....
But,... Usually falls in the 3000/3500rpm range......"
 
Think about it this way... to

Think about it this way... to break in car engines... varying RPMs with long gradual accelerations and long gradual decels. Now WOTs for some time. Now do it on a boat!
