"Hello, I was wondering if there is anyone in the Toronto GTA region who might know a good mechanic looking for a winter rebuild project. I do not want to go through a marine garage at rediculus rates, but unfortunately do not know anybody in the marine industry. I just acquired an 87 velocity but the engine has a severe knock. Speaking to a local marina garage, they indicated it has to be rebuilt, and it will cost $2500+. Has anyone had a rebuild and could recommend someone? Any help will be greatly appreciated. thx."
