Not doing? Well...it's not doing anything. It's sitting on my boat. Just bought a project (!) Alumacraft fiberglass boat and it has a 33 Evinrude Ski Twin on it. Heard these were workhorse engines: not speed demons, but very reliable. I'm not an engine dummy but I know squat about two cylinder two stroke outboards from the 60's. And since I'm not young anymore I want to put it in the hands of somebody who is very familiar with these, knows the ins and outs. Engine does turn by hand (plugs are half unscrewed) from the flywheel. I am not really going to restore the craft, rather fix it up, do the necessary repairs, and make it a fishing boat. I'm looking for an honest mechanic who knows these engines and give it the once over inspection which I would pay for. If I can replace a few parts and its ok, I'm ok. If I have to rebuild the whole dang thing, well then maybe a better running, used, newer ob may be the ticket. Just reaching out, seeing if anybody knows anyone in Minnesota...
