318 Intake Manifold amp FWC Manifolds

"Engine is FWC LM318 with Cart

"Engine is FWC LM318 with Carter 4bbl AFB carby.

My intake manifold is flaking chunks of iron around the port side thermo device that operates the choke. Intake manifold needs to be replaced. I understand an Edelbrock Performer aluminium manifold will work. I also have the opportunity to acquire an intake manifold from a FWC 360 engine. Will the 360 intake manifold fit my 318?

Finally my manifolds and risers need to be replaced. Does anyone have experience with including the manifolds and risers in the FWC loop? I guess you need to increase the heateschanger size. Any ideas?

Yes. They are the same.

THe factory included the manifolds only, but you MIGHT get away includfing the risers as well. You'd need a block off plate at the riser/ elbow joint.

? on the aluminium manifold for a LM318 will there be a problum with the carb.sitting flat on the edelbrock.There is a 6deg. slope on marine manafolds to compensate fuel with the floats.

Wow Jeff this is Bootyscootn....I'm glad I read this post...if you noticed my post I just purchased a aluminum Edelbrock intkae from jegs....I'm gonna stop that order...and a Holly carb....don't know what I was thinking I forgot bout electrolysis....crap back top page one....well where do I get a higher hp intake and carb...plus need valve covers...nice ones to trick it out???!!!!! HELP
