I've made a mistake while trying to change my starter. I got a 1973 Riverqueen with a Chyrsler 318. The starter got wet, rusted stopped working...long story but I needed to get it replaced. Went to auto store, got a starter it looked identical but now it does not fit into the bell housing correctly. I gave my old starter as a core, which was my mistake. I don't have any numbers from the original starter and have no idea how to find the correct starter. The starters on this site and other do not look like the starter i removed. The original starter does not have any threaded holes. The removed starter goes underneath the engine on the right side. if anyone can help with the model number and type that would greatly be appreciated.
