"recently started this engine,

"recently started this engine,and it has a metal to metal sound coming from the bell housing.is it common for a driveplate to come loose all at once?also is there a throw out bearing that puts pressure to the plate?thanks roy 1974 gibson 318/dana outdrive"

"Roy you will want to get your Ser # off the engine, and I'll need to know if it is a 11" disc or a 10" ( it should be 11 but there is a notation for the 10 ).. I know for sure that the Cylinder that moves the fork is No longer available but let me know and I'll do my best to source the parts for you.
