"I the block is cracked it likely needs to be tossed in the dumpster. my experience is that the 3.0L is a very common GM engine. I would go find a short block (assembled "lower end" block less head, manifolds, and all periferials) and bolt everything up that you already have. Short block may be new or used. You'll just want to make sure you understnad casting numbers et al so you have the right bolt hole locations, etc."
