I went out on the upper Missouri and trashed my prop running back up to the launch. I want to put a jet on my 92' motor. I cant seem to find any for sale that would bolt right on. there is one on ebay for 594.00 but its hard to tell if it would work. its a 2700 vintage omc volute hsg. MPN GB519760290. if anybody knows how to go about squaring my motor away with a jet drive, any information would be helpful.

I repair props and skegs. For people running rivers I make modifications to ensure better prop protection. Maybe something like that would be a better route to go. There are also some aftermarket bolt on protectors that can help. Having a jet can be a "double edge sword".
