30 mercruiser starter bolts

I have a 1993 Bayliner Capri w

I have a 1993 Bayliner Capri with a Mercruiser 3.0L engine. The starter bolts brake off in the housing and I don’t know if there is way to take them out without pulling the engine out.

"if you are able to get the starter out of the boat and can access the broken off bolts, if they are long enough use a little heat and vise grips to work them out (or if you have a set of stud wrenches) if they are flush or inside of the housing then drill and extract them."

"Had that happen to me as well because some moron left off the brace that goes between the front of the starter and the block. I was able to drill a hole down from the top and through the remains of the broken off bolt, then thru bolt the starter in place. Not recommended for the faint at heart, however!
