30 HP mariner charging a battery

I have just purchased a 1998 3

I have just purchased a 1998 30 hp Mariner. I was wondering how hard it is to get it to charge my battery while I run down the lake? Any help would be great. Thanks Rob

Is it a pull start tiller motor? If so, you'd need to install a rectifier/regulator from the stator loom to charge a battery.
