"I have a 88' galaxie with

"I have a 88' galaxie with a gm 3.0 4 cylinder. I have done a lot of work to the lower end but never any electrical. I ran the boat after installing a new prop and it ran great. I came home and flushed it for about 30 min. A month later I tried to get on the water and it would not start. I am not getting any fire from the plugs/plug wires. I have bought a tune up kit that includes cap, rotor, and points but am waiting for the shipping. Any other suggestions? Joe"
 
clean the points with a bit of

clean the points with a bit of emery cloth or fine sandpaper. note- you will need a dwell meter and timing light for changing points so start shopping for those items
 
Does it have a kill switch? Mo

Does it have a kill switch? Most of them only prevent spark but it will still turn over.
