I just installed a 3.0l jasper reman long block. It runs great untill you put it under load. I took it to the lake and it got up to 2200 rpm's with 4 people in the boat. I have checked the spark, retimed it according to factory specs. I have checked for fuel issues and everything looks good on the motor. compression is 110lbs on all 4 cylinders. The only thing that had me concerned is when it was fired up for the first 5 minutes it was making a loud clattering noise in the timing chain area, then after a few minutes it dissapeard and everything looked and sounded good, untill I took it to the lake. I am out of ideas and thought maybe somebody had a similar issue. (the motor is carbureted so its not a computer or sensor issue)
