Hi Guys
I am looking to replace my 3.0 mercruiser carb serial number is 0W050580. The current carb has 2 mixture screws and everything i can find to replace it only has one. Will the single screw carb fit my engine?
Cheers

If I recall, 2 screws is a Rochester & 1 screw is a Mercarb.
Parts book shows you should have the 1 screw Mercarb installed.
I thought the Rochesters were phased out like 30 years ago. So, I assume you have not owned the boat from day 1 and you bought if from some DIYer.

Correct i am the second owner and the current carb is a Rochester 2 Jet. i am going to go back mercarb i think. just not sure why they replaced the mercarb with a Rochester

The carb most likely was switched out if the engine is newer as the serial number suggests but yes usually it would be one screw from my recollection but that mentioned searching one of the beginning Mercuiser part number led me to find something with 2 screws 'That part number wise suggests it would fit... That mentioned I think I'd be concerned about the base gasket/s used as I believe there were 2 or possibly 3 designs that could affect air to fuel mixture delivery depending on gasket hole patterns so be aware of that possibility.

Here's your carb using the serail number,

Here's a carb from an pretty known marine carb rebuilder of mostly likely core returns from i5,

^You might want to reach out to them with all the concerns we're bring up in this thread for other opinions as they do this daily....I think they are in California.

Here's all your parts from the serial number,

How about an posting an overall photo of the carburetor and engine just to see what you' are working with?

Based on the link to engine serial number from Fast Times, your engine may have had the TKS carb..... previous owner may have had issues he couldnt resolve and reverted back to the older Rochester....
Do you see some wiring/connectors that dont seem to connect to anything?
