280DP Yolk not aligning with PDS

This is going to seem crazy, as it does to me, but removed my entire drive re paint, re-seal, etc over the winter and went to reinstall and the yolk and PDS do not seem to align. For the life of me, I can't get the yolk to slide on. I can feel them initially mesh, but then a hard stop. The rest of the drive is not preventing the yolk from moving onto the shaft. Splines are clean. They are the 10 spline yolk and PDS. I know it sounds nuts, and the only time the drive has been out of my sight was to have it painted. Same PDS and, as far as I can tell, same U-joints. Done this many times in my life, and just thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks....MJ
