"I have a AQ 145a with a 280 outdrive. Although I know its rare, it is a hyd trim. I just replaced the hyd hoses and the lower unit wont raise up. Do I need to bleed the system and if so how do I do it."

Tried everything and still can

Tried everything and still cant get it to raise more than 2". I think the pump was getting tired anyway. Does anybody know if I can retrofit a Oildyme or Kiekhafer pump to my current set up. I had re threaded my old pump to accept standard hyd hoses so I didnt have to pay $95 for $20 hyd hoses.

"Cycling did not work. I found instructions in the Seloc manual which said to operate the switch momentarily through several cycles, stopping when the pump cavitates indicated by a marked change in the sound. The system is now working fine. Hope this helps someone else.Thanks"
