280 line cutter issue?

I have a long hub 15x20 Michigan Prop on my 280 drive. When I pulled my prop yesterday to clean the zinc, I noticed that there was rather a bit of a gap ( 1/8 to 1/4") between the front edge of the prop and the linecutter's disc and as a result a gap between the front edge of the hub and the zinc. I seem to remember that there are several different line cutters for different drives/props. Do I have the correct one on?

The spacer/line cutter is specific to the lower drive.... not the prop.
Your 280 will require the long spacer/line cutter regardless of which prop you install.
The 250/270/275 will use the short spacer/line cutter no matter which prop is used.

It is the Spinner (cone nut) that varies between long/short hub props. (I.E, 1 pc vs 2 pc spinner)

Thanks... I wasn't the one who put the prop on last time and I didn't remember the gap being that large... but then again, these days I'm having trouble remembering what I had for breakfast...
