273 vs 318?

I have a '69 273 with a 4bbl. If I bought a rebuilt 318 long block made for the same vintage would everything else bolt right over. Could I reuse the exhaust, intake, starter, etc?

I think so. The diff between Chrysler SB's involve the 360 but I've read
on here the ports on the 273 heads are smaller so you may want to check to
see if the gaskets will work on the exhaust manifold and the intake.

Believe it or not, both the MARINE 318 and 360 use 273 V-8 heads!

Play it safe and get a set of 318 heads...I heard there free sometimes...put
4 bbl carb on it and you almost there anyway...

Further research points me toward a 318 as the new rebuilt 360s use different heads now and the intake and exhaust won't fit. So it looks like a la318 which should be easy to find
