"Just in the process of removing the outdrive leg and noticed a considerable build up of mud in the upper leg compartemnt where the fwd/rev linkage is attached. This explains why it was difficult to get into reverse as the mud hardens and gets in the way of the linkage. The boat has been sitting on a tidal mooring, hence the reason for the mud. My question is has anyone else experienced this problem and is it curable. My immediate thoughts were to pack the compartment with water proof grease which may help the problem, any advice extremely welcome, thanks"
