25HP Mercury power tilt/trim

Im trying to find out what my options are (if Any) for installing power tilt and trim on my 96 Mercury 25EL.
My controls have the tilt button on them. But the motor doesn't have the feature. Normally id get out of the drivers seats crawl across the rear fishing deck
reach down click the little leg thingy and yank up on the motor. my son is too small to accomplish that task so I was wondering if they even made a Merc 25 with that option and if they did could it be added to mine.

A serial number would help but there "used to be" (no longer available through Merc) an add on "trim kit" (merc part 850700A08) that sold for almost $1000 so was not a popular "add-on". You may be able to find one in old stock with a bit of google searching.

Alternately you could try one of the recycler's such as Twin City Outboards but do expect to pay at least 1/2 the price of "new" (minimally).

Aftermarket (assemblies) such as from CMC or Panther (sold on this sites host) would still run you in the 600/700 buck range but at least could be re-used or sold with a motor replacement/boat chage etc...
