25hp evinrude running problem

"I have a 1970 25hp Evinrude.

"I have a 1970 25hp Evinrude. I put new coils/condensors/points set on .020
The motor will idle pretty good, and has good top end.Coming from idle up through mid-range
is slugish/rough. I have tried 2 diff carbs with same result. Any suggestions on where to look?"
